Jim Crawford
Jim Crawford is Managing Director of TRIAD Capital Management, LLC, a Lake Forest, Illinois based private equity firm. TRIAD focuses on middle market buyouts of services and specialty manufacturing companies, with its current priority on federal government services companies. Prior to TRIAD, Mr. Crawford spent 14 years as a senior partner at Frontenac Company, and 8 years as a partner with William Blair Venture Partners. While at Frontenac, Mr. Crawford was the lead partner and sole financial investor for SI International, a federal government IT services contractor. In addition to SI International, Mr. Crawford’s past investments and board positions include specialty manufacturing, telecommunications, computer products and services, and specialty events. Mr. Crawford held various operating positions with Mark Controls Corporation, and was a consultant with McKinsey & Company earlier in his career. He holds an electrical engineering and computer science undergraduate degree from Princeton University. He also studied economics at Oxford University on a Rhodes Scholarship.
