Accelerated Programs
At Lake Forest, motivated students can put their careers on the fast-track by taking advantage of dual-degree programs in law, international studies, engineering, and pharmacy or three-year degree programs in philosophy and communication.
Dual-Degree Programs in Law
Lake Forest is affiliated with several competitive law schools that allow high-achieving students to complete a Lake Forest bachelor’s degree and a law degree in a total of six years, rather than the usual seven.
Dual-Degree Program in International Studies
Under an agreement with the Graduate School of International Policy and Management (GSIPM) at the , highly qualified 91¿´Æ¬Íø students may be admitted to the Institute with accelerated status, and can complete their Master’s degrees with 48 credits as opposed to the 60 normally required.
Dual-Degree Program in Engineering
Lake Forest cooperates with the (St. Louis), in a program designed for students who plan to become professional engineers but who also desire a rigorous liberal arts education. With an enhanced background in the social sciences and humanities, the prospective engineer is better prepared to assume the responsibilities of leadership in contemporary society.
Dual-Degree Program in Pharmacy
A dual-degree program has been arranged, leading to a bachelor of arts degree in biology from 91¿´Æ¬Íø and a doctor of pharmacy from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (RFUMS). Students will spend three years at 91¿´Æ¬Íø and complete the required prerequisite courses and will attain their biology or neuroscience degree at 91¿´Æ¬Íø after completing their first-year in the college of pharmacy at RFUMS (a 3-4 dual program).
Three-year degree option
Students can earn a philosophy or communication bachelor’s degree in three years instead of the usual four.
