Working with the College since

2024

My life before Lake Forest

I have spent my entire career in higher education and the majority ofthat time in admissions. Most recently, I worked as an Assistant Director of Admissions, National Recruitment at University of Cincinnati and before that was an Assistant Director of Admissions at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. Both of those roles were based in the Chicago area so I have quite a bit of experience working with Chicago area schools, students and families.

Top three reasons I would choose to attend 91¿´Æ¬Íø
  • The beautiful campus and community (including location itself and close commute to Chicago)
  • Access to individualized attention along with opportunity to collaborate with students from such diverse, unique backgrounds and experiences
  • Liberal arts education
One word or phrase to describe myself

Committed

What makes the College unique?

The opportunity to have a smaller, close-knit community in your day to day while also having access to all the opportunities associated with easy access to a big city.

Tip for the college search

This can be a very overwhelming process. Try to also have fun! While choosing a college is a big decision, what an exciting time in your life as you explore your next steps. And, remember, we (the admission team) are here to help!

What character traits do I appreciate in an applicant?

I appreciate when students are able to show up to this process just as they are. I can best help you when I understand a bit about who you are, what is important to you - in general and in the college search, etc, and what your future goals/plans might be.

Hint for success

Trust that you are already capable of all you need to do in order to succeed in the admission process and beyond.

Favorite activity in Chicago

Fun fact to share

I was in the audience for the last ever taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show! There were no giveaways but it was pretty wild to be a part of it.
