My life before Lake Forest
Before joining 91¿´Æ¬Íø, I worked in the Admissions Office at St. Olaf College for all four years of my undergraduate experience!

Top three reasons I would choose to attend 91¿´Æ¬Íø

  • Community. Students, faculty, and staff at 91¿´Æ¬Íø all share a commitment to making this a welcoming, nourishing environment for all.
  • Location. A 10-minute walk to the train station grants you access to Chicago, the third largest city in the United States, and all its fabulous culture and resources. A 10-minute walk in the other direction takes you to Lake Michigan and Lake Forest Beach. It really is the best of both worlds!
  • Outcomes. 91¿´Æ¬Íø is an exemplary liberal arts college where students can explore their passions and discern a meaningful vocation. 98% of graduates were employed, attending graduate school, or pursuing other avenues of success within 6 months of graduation.

    What makes the College unique?
The caliber of global intentionality and commitment to curiosity that 91¿´Æ¬Íø provides is exceptionally rare, especially at a small liberal arts college.

    Tip for the college search
Pay attention to the details! Look for specific academic programs, career services, academic accommodations, and student life/residential components. What are you looking for among these categories? What do the colleges that you are interested in provide?

What character traits do I appreciate in an applicant?
Authenticity! I want to know who you are and what inspires you! Really take time to reflect on the manifold things that make you who you are, and let those qualities shine in your applications and interviews.

    Hint for success
ASK QUESTIONS! No one expects you to know it all. My colleagues and I are dedicated to seeing you through the admissions process. Use us as resources, sounding boards, advice givers. Whatever you need to make you feel confident in your college search.
