91¿´Æ¬Íø students are each assigned a mailbox number and a combination to a box located in the basement of the Stuart Commons building on Middle Campus. There are two service windows, outgoing mail and package pick-up. You may start shipping your packages once you have received your mailbox assignment via email, this is sent under separate cover in an email from Donald Stanley.

Your Mailing Address:
Once you receive your mail stop assignment please address your mail in the following format:

First Name - Middle Initial -  Last Name
LFC # (Your LFC Mail Stop Number)
555 N Sheridan RD
Lake Forest, IL 60045-2338

Do not use nicknames. When sending packages, please use your name as it appears on your 91¿´Æ¬Íø ID. Failure to address your mail/packages in the format above may result in delays, missed delivery, or it being returned to sender as undeliverable.

Picking Up Your Mail/Packages:
Student mail is delivered to the mailboxes on a daily basis Monday through Friday. A notification email will be sent to your Lake Forest email address for packages which need to be picked up from the Mail Center counter. This includes large pieces of mail that do not fit into the mailbox, or packages which require a signature (i.e., UPS, FedEx, DHL, Insured, Certified, Registered, and Express Mail). You must come to the Mail Center during our hours of operation with your 91¿´Æ¬Íø ID in order to retrieve packages.

NOTE: Wait for an email from Mail Services before coming to Mail Services to pick up a package. Not only does it take time for us to sort through our shipments, but carriers will mark items as delivered to zip code (i.e. not 91¿´Æ¬Íø) up to 24 hours in advance.

Things You Should Know:

  • Your 91¿´Æ¬Íø ID is the only accepted ID in the Mail Center.

  • The Mail Center will not deliver any packages to anyone except the recipient of the package.

  • You are the only one allowed to receive mail/packages to your mailbox. Do not let others use it.

  • The only way that a letter or package can be traced is if it was sent accountable (i.e. with a tracking number).

  • Check your mail often – even if you live off campus. Mail which is not picked up after 15 business days may be returned to sender.

  • Place any mail which doesn’t belong to you in our ‘Campus Mail’ slot. This is generally mail for students of years past, and we will handle it accordingly. You’ll find the ‘Campus Mail” slot under the Package Pick-Up Window at the Mail Center.

  • DO NOT SEND CASH THROUGH THE MAIL. Gift cards, pre-paid Visa/MasterCard, or money orders should be used as they can be traced, cancelled, and eventually be replaced in the unlikely event that they are lost or stolen.
