Why did you choose 91¿´Æ¬Íø?
I was attracted to the small size of the college and the vast opportunities it offered.
What attracted you to the Neuroscience major?
Its interdisciplinary nature which enabled me explore multiple interests.
What are your career goals and how did 91¿´Æ¬Íø help you arrive at and achieve these goals?
My goal is to contribute to knowledge about the brain and Public Health Policy via knowledge gained from research in Neuroscience. Through HPP and the Neuroscience Program, I was able to curve out a path to combine my passion for research with my desire to improve quality of health of patients.
How have the opportunities in college helped shape your college experience?
The research sources at the college and the opportunity to work closely with faculty. This helped shape my interests and curve an academic path that highlighted my strengths.
What are one or more distinctive experiences in your major that make it stand out?
My very first time in the BIOL130 lab handling human brains and having the opportuity to learn with physical examples.
Doing research in the D-lab not only helped me cutivate my passion for research but also make close connections with my labmates.
What advice would you give to a high school student looking to pursue neuroscience and is considering 91¿´Æ¬Íø?
Take advantage of the numerous interdisciplinary courses offered by the major. Get involved in extra curricular activities concerning the program.
