Ann Maine
Ann Maine graduated with a major in Biology and minor in English from Williams College, Williamstown, MA. She received Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Rochcester, Rochester, NY, where she studied regulation of gene expression during pre- and perinatal development in mice. Her post-doctoral work examined cellular changes during carcinogenesis. Maine has been a member of the BIology Department at 91¿´Æ¬Íø since 1994. She teaches a wide variety of courses, with a special emphasis on getting non-science majors to understand how science influences their lives.
